Today, I want share a story and the topic about pickles. In this story is about conversations between a grandchildren with his grandfather also his grandmother.The grandchildren name call Abu.



One day, his grandmother give Abu and his grandfather eat pickles. Abu looks at the pickles feels that bored because every day he need make pickles as his recipes to eat. Then he said to his grandfather,

" Do I have to eat this?". After Abu's grandfather heard what are his grandchildren said, he try to offending to his wife.He try said to Abu, "it doesn't matter to me, but your grandmother seems to have her heart set on it". Abu feels sad if he didn't eat this pickles, his grandmaother will be angry to him. Abu feels dissappointed and say to his grandfather," I can't wait to be a grow up.Then I can do whatever I want".

 

Abu's grandfather feel that Abu thinks a negative then try to advise. He angry with what a Abu said. He explain to Abu,"Ha! There an old saying, young men speak of the future because they have no past...". Abu hear the strange feeling and very interesting want to know why his grandfather said like that to him. In addition, Abu's grandfather say again,"....But old men speak of the past because they have no future". Abu just silence and heard what his grandfather tries to explain more to him.

Suddenly,Abu's grandmother came to get them. His grandmother talk to his grandfather.Abu's grandmother asked to his grandfather," I asked you last week to fix the leak under the kitchen sink." Abu's grandfather speechless when hear his wife coming and asked him about the leak under the kitchen sink. Then his wife warning to his husband that she want the leak under the kitchen sink fixed now. She don't want it fixed by tomorrow or next week. Abu's grandfather just say okay to his wife. After finished asked to her husband,she walk go back to kitchen continue her job and Abu juzt silence listen what his grandfather talking and convesation between his grandfather and his grandmother about the leak.

After that,his grandfather innuendo and make his wife as a example to Abu. He say that, " women speak of the present because they've learned from past experience not to trust men to get things done in the future". Abu laughter after listen what are his grandfather talking to him.Then his grandfather went to kitchen and repair the leak under the kitchen sink and Abu alone finished the pickles before his grandmother scolded him because wasting food.
